Your hands know all your inner images, trust them to create your images

Drawing, painting and moulding (modelling) means 'to be in movement'.

By making use of colours, lines, structures, space and forms, as well in brightness, as in darkness, one can express one' s hidden feelings. Our dreams, our inner images and nature as such are connected with these feelings. All these images can serve as a source of inspiration in order to create paintings, drawings and objects of clay. Prior to express one's inner images there is no need to obtain visualisations or 'to have to know', what to draw, paint or mould. The importance of these experience-directed processes, lies in stimulating one's intuition and in one's capacity to present by expression, to visualise, and to materialize. The process shall be directed toward the link between the (visual) arts and inner growth; through awareness finaly towards consciousness. The expression as such consists of 'working' with the left as well as the right hand. Sometimes with closed eyes, depending on (the) various stages of various and specific processing. The idea is that one's intuition capacity is stimulated, while the eyes exert less controle. By working in this manner, Michiels' counseling is focused at you as a whole human being. Counseling will be non-judgemental and will have no esthetic norms. After one has expressed one's images by means of drawing, painting or moulding, counseling aims to finaly stimulate and initiate via 'the dialoque'. To open one's feeling for the picture image and the signification, the dialoque builds a bridge between one's unconsciousness and one's consciousness. Some of the aspects Michiel works with are shamanic grounding and breathing exercises in balancing through synchronising the two hemispheres of the brain - the chakras in one's body as well as in nature around and several meditations.

Michiel Czn. Dhont is a visual art-performing artist - painter. He creates monumental and enviromental art as projects and performances. His (visual) art is regularly exposed within the Netherlands and abroad. Michiel is the founder of 'Werkplaats Molenpad' Amsterdam, where he gives his courses. Michiel also is a musician in improvised music and jazz. His instruments vary from double-bass, flute, piano to voice. He performs in solo and groupconcerts in the Netherlands and abroad.
In 1999 his workbook 't Tijdloze Uur (the Timeless Hour) with free video instruction came out. It has been published for 'grade school education' purposes and the 'National Health' sector in the Netherlands and abroad. An English publication is due. ·
